Traditional Village of Rumah Tuo Rantau Panjang

It is part of the traditional community village. This village traditionally still maintains the old buildings that were built around 300-400 years ago. Although there are some adjustments, the shapes and ornaments still represent the traditional values of the past. The old building was founded in 1330 AC, and still exist today. The cultural heritage of the house is a living monument, because it is still inhabited by local people and still preserving their traditional traditions. The descendants who live today are the 14th successor of the tuo house. The local indigenous people are usually called Orang Batin Lamo, who are an indigenous tribe in the Merangin area. The area of the village is ± 4 hectares, with a distribution of about 40-70 houses in it. In addition to maintaining the tuo house, the local community also maintains and carries out traditional traditions that can still be witnessed today, such as traditional massacres, pencak silat and beselang culture.
