The Spirit of Geopark Merangin Festival 2026 Preserving Geological Heritage and Culture at Rumah Tuo Rantau Panjang

MERANGIN – As an embodiment of its commitment to safeguarding natural heritage and ancestral tradition, the Geopark Merangin Festival 2026 was successfully held under the theme "Preserving Merangin's Geological Heritage and Culture." Centered at the historic site of Rumah Tuo Rantau Panjang, the event was lively and rich in educational value.

Officially Opened by the Vice Regent of Merangin

The festival was officially opened by the Vice Regent of Merangin. The opening ceremony was marked by a gong-striking by the Vice Regent, symbolizing the start of the celebration and the local government's commitment to the preservation of the Geopark area. The opening event was also attended by relevant Regional Government Agencies (OPD), community leaders, and enthusiastic local residents.
