Serampas Rantau Kermas Indigenous Forest
Serampas Rantau Kermas Indigenous Forest
Rantau Kermas Village is one of the villages that is legally incorporated in the Serampas Clan. One of the special program in this forest is Tree Adoption. For locals, tree caretakers are entitled to a tree caretaker certificate, receive technical information about the trees being cared for, and receive funds as a reward for conservation efforts that have been carried out. Evaluation is done every 6 months. To run the program, cooperation with geopark partner institutions has been established to provide intensive assistance. Commitment to preserving and managing forest areas wisely is very important to maintain the balance of the ecosystem and prevent the danger of landslides, and to maintain river water throughout the year as a source of electrical energy.
