On the third day, the Geopark Goes to School team visited SDN 62 Merangin in Bedeng Rejo Village, Bangko Barat District.

In his opening remarks, Principal Mr. Sumari, S.Pd., thanked the Geopark Merangin Jambi team. He stated, "I hope our students gain a broader understanding of the Geopark through this Goes to School program."

Febra Muyu delivered her presentation as a member of the education, conservation, and community empowerment division.

"Does anyone here know about Ancient Mengkarang?" she inquired.

"Ancient Mengkarang is a fascinating window into the wonders of Geopark Merangin Jambi. It is home to fossils of ancient animals that date back hundreds of millions of years, allowing us to connect with the past," Febra explained.

She emphasized that Ancient Mengkarang is one of the most significant geological sites for understanding the history of our planet. The fossils discovered here offer valuable insights into past environmental conditions. By visiting this site, we can observe these fossils and learn about the geological processes that have shaped the landscape of Merangin.

After the presentation, the team played an educational game called "Geopark Merangin Jambi Snakes and Ladders." Students answered questions about the locations and names of the Geopark Merangin Jambi sites, which were included on the game board.
