On the first day, the Geopark Goes to School team visited SMP Negeri 46 Merangin in Air Batu Village, Renah Pembarap District. The principal, Mr. Dede Rudiana, S.Pd., and the teachers warmly welcomed the team. Mr. Dede expressed, "We are very grateful for the Geopark Goes to School program initiated by the Geopark Merangin Jambi management agency for selecting our school as one of its destinations. We hope the students gain valuable knowledge from this visit."

"All right, everyone, get ready for an exciting scientific adventure! Geopark Merangin Jambi is an incredible natural laboratory. Here, I'll introduce you to Geopark Merangin, help you recognize different types of fossil rocks, explore cultural heritage, and help you understand the importance of protecting the environment," Febra Muyu explained during her presentation.

After the presentation, the team and teachers invited students to play an educational game called "Geopark Snakes and Ladders." This version of the game enables players to learn about various sites within Geopark Merangin in Jambi while having fun.
