International Tourists Begin to Arrive and Visit Merangin Jambi Geopark

After the evaluation by UNESCO Global Geopark (UGGp) on October 8, 2022, the presence of international tourists is the hope for the sustainability of the tourism sector in the Bumi Tali Undang Tambang Teliti, Merangin Jambi Geopark area.

The existence of intact fossils of Araucarioxylon trees came around 300 million years ago. It was a fossil of the Jambi Permian formation that was significant internationally and the best of its kind, region, and strength of the Merangin Jambi Geopark.
