Inscribed Stone of Karang Berahi

The Karang Berahi inscription is historical evidence that describes a time when humans knew writing. First discovered in 1904, this inscription is not dated but is thought to have been made around the 680s (late 7th century AC). This inscription is made of stone measuring 90 cm x 90 cm x 10 cm, at the bottom it has been broken and is shaped like half an egg. This inscription is indicated to come from the Srivijaya Kingdom era which was written in Pallawa script as Sanskrit writing and used the ancient Malay language. The message written on the inscription is about a curse for people who are not submissive or disloyal to the king and those who do evil.
