Field Trips of Siginjai Mining Competition I

The Siginjai Mining Competition I activity that organized by the Association of Mining Engineering students of the Department of Earth Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Jambi University.
The field trip that held for two days at the Merangin Jambi Geopark. The first visit was to the Geopark Information Center, Teluk Wang Sakti, and Muara Karing Waterfall.
What are field trips?
Field trips are tourist visits or visits that can support knowledge through learning outside the classroom by visiting several predetermined destinations.
The participants were not only from Jambi University. They also came from Padang State University, the College of Industrial Technology of Padang, Bangka Belitung University, Syiah Kuala University, and the Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya. They were very enthusiastic about asking the questions to the Geologists of Merangin Jambi Geopark.
Mr. Eko Wahyudi, this is the first visit after the UNESCO Global Geopark designation. The happiness cannot hide on Mr. Eko's face.
We are now at the Jambi Flora Fossil Complex, and there are two more complexes, namely the Karst Complex and the Masurai Caldera Complex.
Where we are now in a Geosite has international value, here there are types of fossils in the form of Pecopteris, Cordaites, and Calamites known as Flora Jambi. Let's protect and preserve this heritage for future generations. (Told Mr. Eko)
